What Race and Class?

You seem to have made a good choice with Elf Wizard. Elf race focuses on magic offense and magic defense which are what a Wizard needs. As a wizard you will need to be an expert on elements so I would advise checking out these guides:

At level 10 you will be able to choose to upgrade to either Black Mage or White Mage, unlike Witch that can only upgrade to Black Mage. Then at level 15 you can upgrade to Angel or Summoner which are both very powerful classes, I would even say they are OP haha. :)

So uh, I went with a Human Thief and I am currently lv 16 and still a thief (100% of my ap went to attack) so far I haven't had any difficulties with peak city, and I was wondering whether I should keep going this way or should I allocate my next stats to magical defense or magical offense (does a thief even use magical offense?)

For PVE there are more physical attacking monsters than magic monsters and there are other ways to counter magic so I would stick with defense mostly. Thieves don't use any magic so you don't need magic offense at all.
