It does tend to skip a day or two. I was at 23 consecutive reset back to day 3 now

Are you sure you didn't miss a full day? Remember it goes by 24 hours from the time it pops up. It's not a certain time like midnight. So the time that it pops up might shift depending on when you login or refresh the page.

I haven't had any problems with mine, I'm on day 40 something.

After the notification didnt show up for a good 3 days. I skipped a day and had it deliberately reset.

Hmmm, keep track of it and let me know if it starts skipping again. I'm not sure why it would. If you were to leave it open on a PC without refreshing, it won't count until you refresh or change page.

For example, if you opened the game at 4pm and got the pop up, then closed it, then opened it again at 3pm the next day, it wouldn't pop up because it's only been 23 hours. Then if you closed it or left it without refreshing before 4pm and didn't come back until after 4pm the next day, it would reset. But in your case you had to reset it deliberately because it didn't pop up for 3 days, so I'm not sure what happened. Even in that example, it would pop up again after 2 days but be reset back to day 1.

Maybe you just didn't see the popup somehow. I wouldn't worry about it unless it resets to day 1. Maybe keep track of your items (might be hard for rock candies right now, I know) and make sure you get the rewards if it doesn't pop up.
